Happy 250th Birthday Mr. Beethoven!
Mikhail Berestnev, piano

7:30PM, SATURDAY, October 24, 2020

“Beethoven, an iconoclast who became an icon, has been studied, documented, put on the silver screen, fictionalized, and turned into a trope and a meme.”  The ISO joins the entire world in the celebration of his life.  We share in this great musical genius by performing perhaps his best known work.  Complementing the concert, Rachmaninoff’s last composition for piano and orchestra will be performed by the talented Russian pianist Mikhail Berestnev.  An unforgettable season opener!!!

Veterans Day Tribute with: Steve Amerson & Laurie Gayle Stephenson

The Vocal Majority were originally scheduled; but cancelled all remaining 2020 performances due to

ramifications of COVID-19.  So we are very pleased to announce that Steve and Laurie will treat the

audience to Americana music at its best along with Broadway favorites for a most enjoyable evening

of patriotism as we salute our active-duty Military and Veterans, give thanks for our

First Responders especially during this pandemic period, and share in the uplifting mood that music

can bring in this month of Thanksgiving and reflection.

ORCHESTRA SHOWCASE, featuring ISO’s concertmaster:

Ordabek Duissen

A truly “Romantic” evening filled with the gorgeous music of three outstanding composers . . . one Bohemian giant . . . two towering Russians . . . and our very own concertmaster “Orda,” as he is affectionately known; performing the enchanting music that evokes  the tale of “A Thousand and One Nights”--one of the most impressive musical scores in musical history--an epic event indeed!

7:30PM, SATURDAY, MARCH 27, 2021

Another spectacular season concludes with the ISO featuring “Asleep at the Wheel.” Join us as we celebrate their 50th anniversary tour.  This band of American roots music best known as country/western swing has dominated award platforms including 10 Grammy awards, CMA’s Touring Band of the Year in 1976, and Lifetime Achievement in Performance by the 2009 Americana Music Awards.  The evening promises to be a wonderful blend of the symphony with the band for some toe tapping fun.
